DR. DONATH PUBLISHED AGAIN
Continuing to be a national leader in plastic surgery, Dr. Donath was recently invited to write a book chapter for the medical textbook, “Textbook of Aging Skin.” Dr. Donath provided a chapter entitled, “Facial Rejuvenation: A Chronology of Procedures,” in which he details the best treatments available to help look great at any age. Currently in press, this textbook will help other doctors at all levels of training understand the state-of-the-art approach to the aging face. Educational activities like these are different from those of some doctors who “self-publish” books with their names on them without any editorial board review, simply to appear as though they are experts in an area.
Also recently accepted for publication in a prestigious journal was Dr. Donath’s first-of-its-kind study using 3-D imaging to show how long fillers last in the face. Look for more details of that publication in the next newsletter!
BRUISE-BUSTING LASER
Dr. Donath recently acquired a fantastic new laser that can speed up the resolution of bruising after surgical and nonsurgical procedures. SAN DIEGO AAFPRS MEETING
Dr. Donath recently attended the Fall meeting of the AAFPRS (American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery), the largest association of facial plastic surgeons in the country, where he again helped to steer policies of this organization through his involvement with both the Emerging Trends and Technologies Committee and the Multimedia Committee. These committees help to ensure that doctors in the AAFPRS and their patients are kept abreast of the latest treatments available in facial cosmetic surgery, as well as the best ways to demonstrate and display them in the media. This of course benefits Dr. Donath’s patients as well, who are ensured the best and latest treatments!
