I recently saw a patient who flew in from Kuwait for an evaluation. She had had a facelift by a doctor in Lebanon (in the Middle East) and was unhappy with the placement of the scars. We were able to review pictures of her scars that she had emailed to us and, based on those, we gave her an idea of what the recommended procedure would likely entail. The result is that she was able to fly in for less than a week, have her procedure done and she is now back in Kuwait. We were able to reorient her scars and gave her a nice lift in the process.
Her previous scars from the other physician were not in the creases around the ears but rather almost a full centimeter down on her cheek where they were quite noticeable, possibly because too much tension was placed on the skin the first time. She is thrilled with how the new scars are hidden, and this is particularly advantageous for someone living in the Arab world.
